Expedition-Awareness

My wife and I found out in January of 2010 that our infant son was diganosed with X-Linked Adrenoleukodystrophy.  This is the disease featured in the movie "Lorenzo's Oil" several years ago.  

It is rare. It takes the life of most boys before the age of 12 or 2 years after symptoms begin.

Our son, Brooks is assymptomatic right now.  He was born 09/09/09.  I have devoted every waking day to searching for hope for his survival.  Next June, I take that search on the road through three countries, 16 plus states, and 4 Canadian provinces. 

Along the way, I will be speaking with media and concerned citizens about the disease and how to properly diagnose it.  I am filming a documentary of the entire process.

The entire northern route will be off-road and I will be camping the entire way to save on expenses.
